Today I reached school at 6:30a.m.

SMOPS - Singapore Mathematical Olympiad for Primary School

I was uh, dismissal block in charge for the nice tower block.

We, as in the dismissal team, decided to take a technological step forward, and used google docs to communicate from places around our huge school :D

So at first all I did was help with ushering the students into Kah Kee Hall.
Not that bad, bringing them from in front of clock tower, where they are dropped, to kah kee hall
but because the freaking weather is so disgustingly hot, I still sweated alot.

COME ON GUYS SAVE THE BLOODY EARTH. ITS THE ONLY PLACE YOU WILL FIND GIRLS.

And then came dismissal time.
TOTAL CHAOS.
The teachers wouldn't cooperate and just wanted to lead their students off to the school buses to trot off back to their schools.

And some teachers were pissed
They have to realize we are releasing 3800+ people at the same time.
about 200 buses at the same time.
OH GOSH.

But the dismissal team was brilliant.
New record for fastest ever SMOPS dismissal despite also having record for highest number of participants.
If you're smart, you would have known what timing.

I have been pointlessly doing facebook quizzes.
And i find myself facing the impending onslaught of the upcoming tests.

Ah i think I have been static in almost everything.

Eeeeehhh.
And I haven't got my laptop repaired and delivered to me!
It has been a heartbreaking month lah, and it hasnt been returned to me.
poor me.
I think if it doesnt fix and get repaired and heal and what not, I shall just get a new Mac.
oh well, and I have decided to improve my fitness.
Make it better, i know it's rather ok now but better is good.

To school, it has been amusing. I havent had literature lessons for last week and this week.
The teacher didn't come on wednesday, thursday was projects day and friday was good.

Which brings me to my next point, projects day.
On projects day, we presented our really sexy (but not so sexily named) Teaching Sunshines. Its a service learning project and what not.

On thursday I went out to j8 to eat KFC for dinner with ezor, raymond, jieyang, isaac, jared, qiaoer, martha, sueyi, jeanette, and OMG I FORGOT. my apologies.

and i talked (her into lending me $5) to her and found out that she's rather good at gym.
despite joining a level higher than what she should be in, she got medals for all events :D

alot of people from the HCI-SNGS exchange went out to sentosa and vivocity for a rocking day. (:

we played captain's ball, dumping people into the water, waterbombs, ate chips and drank soft drinks for lunch, walked around trying to find the lude ride, took the luge ride, returned to vivocity, practiced a british accent, ate long johns silver and celebrated mei shuen's next day birthday.

I am applying for the Humanities Programme and am writing to elaborate further my interest in the programme. I hope to seek your approval for my application.

I personally find that the three courses that the Humanities Programme specializes in have instilled in me a great passion. In March this year, I took part in a sabbatical trip to the United Kingdom to learn more about literature and history. This trip enlightened me and further deepened my interest in the following areas.

I like Literature as I enjoy being able to interpret hidden meanings behind a story or a poem. I also enjoy the play on words of the everyday English language, such as alliterations and puns.

History is interesting yet important as through past events, I am taught not to repeat past mistakes. History also allows me to understand people and society. Moreover, History helps to understand change, and to make it happen.

In modern society’s worries of global warming, natural disasters and population issues, Geography is essential. Geography partakes upon me environmental and social awareness. It also educates me on the causes of natural disasters and the many ways to curb them.

With this heightened interest, I began to fare better in Literature and Humanities tests. I also believe that being hardworking is needed to excel in the Humanities Programme. In the first two terms, my academic result has not been very ideal. However, I began pushing harder for the End of Year Examinations. With determination and passion equipped, I started scaling the mountain of excellence. In the end, I managed to attain a MSG of ---. However, I believe that I have not reached the peak of this mountain of success, and would like to be able to peak in the presence and with the assistance of the Humanities Programme. By joining the humanities program, I would hope to develop this passion and further my quest for knowledge.

A new browser.
Claimed to be faster than firefox, and, safer than firefox, it grabbed my attention, and thus i downloaded it.
now, Something interesting.

Google now does not trust google.
Google does not trust itself.

With a cooler address bar, and a cool default homepage when you just download it, it's cool to see how cool this can get. Cool!
I said 5 cools.
Now 6.

It's currently in the beta version.
Another thing to note is that it's open source (?) and eventually addons and updates will be provided by the community and not only google's coders.

However, i dont like the cheesy look of GChrome, but i like my firefox look better :D
haha, so now, will GChrome be a new breakthrough in web browsers, or will it fall behind?

Alberto kindly acepted.
He was finally accepted.
Except it was all deception,
and left him all unprotected.

It was a plan Ronnie had scammed to get him in the right place.
Verbally degrade him and re-arrange his pretty face.
The plan would go swiftly,
They started calling him sissy,
One punch turned into fifty,
They beat him til he was dizzy.

Now Alberto lie in blood while his peers look on in fear.
His took his last breath and passed away his senior year.

Needless to say it was one big tradgedy.
And how is Ronnie gonna explain to his family?
While they were on vacation taking in sites,
He got wasted, killed a kid that night.

Ok, Ronnie's parents went away for a couple of days and told him no drinking.

Maria was oblivious that her boyfriend had already been invited.
So when Carri-Anne asked she got all excited.
Like damn, Now I got something to look forward to.

Or so she thought.
Maria kindly accepted.
She was finally accepted.
except it was all bull shit.
Not paying attention.

Carri-Anne hated Maria cause she could sing.
So she she scored a bag of heroin,
but the craziest thing was Maria never touched drugs,

And when her man was getting beat she was nowhere in sight.

Now her boyfriend lie in blood,
and she had no idea.
Alberto passed away and she got hooked her senior year.

And, I hate to break it but it doesn't end happily.
A warm day in May,

Carri-Anne died in a crash leaving the funeral.

No, i do not get bullied. I just heard this song, and realized, how much and how prevalent bullying is.
Bullying till the victim commits suicide, or bullied to death, is certain a great pity.

marks the start of the BEIJING OLYMPICS,
the eve of national day.

first, there was a little national day parade of our own.
For our school.
Started with NCC, NPCC, SJAB, and Scouts marching in.
and then the Guard of Honours.
and then lots of marching,

haha, then we went to the hall for a performance thing.

so first, it was the wushu boys with their chinese drum drumming.

they were good.

We went out to suntec,

we ended up buying a coral thingy pendant from SK jewelery,
it came in a nice velvet box.

and i realized how very expensive diamonds are.
I saw some ^puny diamond earring.

and then we asked for the price of the chain for the pendant.
It was like, S$40 for a really thin one.
A chain just slightly thicker was S$70.
And a proper-sized chain,

and oh, my review on this year's Singapore National Day theme song, and music video.

The song is NOT practical at all.
A theme song is supposed to be sang by Singaporeans, at the parade,
or while watching it.
However, the song is like, a "soft" song, has high notes people cant reach.
you get it.
And the controversy surrounding the video.
Disturbing, but comparing those videos and the theme song mv, i dont think it looks alike,
some in fact seem to be an abstract accusation.
Next, the video.
I dont get the story behind the video,
It seems like a love song's music video.
With the guy, the girl, the note.
It is different from other years' music videos.
I think the video should show more of singaporeans' lifes,
happenings, unity, harmony.

However, please, I still do love singapore.
It was just a review of this year's national day music video and song.
Singapore is a great country,
very, very safe.
We are in a naturally safe location.
Safe from earthquakes, typhoons, hurricanes, superbad storms, and what not.
We also have a very adequate police force, army, economy, and education system.

I have been experimenting with popular/alternative blogging stuff.
My conclusion?
Twitter and Tumblr
These two sites/blogging methods/whatever you call them,
are extremely easy to use.
for tumblr, you have varying options to create a post,
a text post, an image post, a quote, a chat, a music post, and a video post.
Customizing the site can be difficult if you dont know basic css and html,
though the site offers themes.
Next, twitter.
Twitter is more like a,
"What-I-Am_doing-Now" kind of blogging interface,

havent been posting lately,

Yes, I actually have reasons to explain my disappearance.

1. The exams are here! So I cannot post as frequent as ever.
2. The charger cable of my laptop screwed up, and the battery ran out, so i couldn't use my laptop.
3. I was abducted by aliens from the planet slephezig.

I promise better and more frequent posts after the exams.

i am sick.
here's how my body works :
My normal body temperature (taken from the mouth by a thermometer) is 35.6 degrees celsius.
However, today my temperature was 37.2 degrees, when i took my temperature.
that is quite high, considering that my average is 35.6 and i get a fever at 17 degrees celsius.
a temperature of 36.7 is slight fever.
